This week is America’s Birthday week!
I’m proud to say that Columbus celebrates in style. Red White and Boom is by far one of the biggest fire works displays that I’ve ever seen, and this year on July 3, is supposed to be the largest! Joe loves Red White and Boom, and after missing last year’s performance, we have decided that this year, we are going to brave the crowds and celebrate with the 1/2 million people who are estimated to be downtown that evening.
I found out today that Cota is continuing their Zoom to Boom! this year, with $5 bus rides into downtown from their park and rides. The $5 ticket also gets you in Free at Huntington Park for Ballpark Boom, so it gets you a ride and good seats! So if you are planning on driving in from Gahanna, Dublin, Grove City or Westerville, (just named a few), this may be well worth checking out.
Working downtown gives me a bird’s eye view of all the event equipment, and food vendors being set up, and let me say, although I hate crowds…I’m excited! Remember though if you do drive downtown, there are many street closures! Here is a handy map posted by Paving the Way: Central Ohio.
Red White and Boom, Isn’t the only celebration going on:
10tv has also published the 2013 Central Ohio Fireworks Schedule on their website. So be sure to check that out for day of festivities on July 4!
Happy 4th Everyone!!
